J’apprécie beaucoup ton initiative de documenter visuellement et textuellement un événement comme la conversation publique d’hier. Cette manière de faire écho à l’événement a enrichi ma perception de l’expérience et la complète. Merci.

Pour continuer sur cette question : « How can we build a way in which we relate to each other on a human level while still using this new technology? »

Pour moi, la question est de savoir comment s’adresser à un groupe tout en ayant un langage rassembleur qui réussit à interpeller chaque individu. Les médias de masse ont le même problème présentement et le cynisme généralisé n’aide en rien.

Autrement, lorsque la relation se fait sur une base individuelle, les outils issus des nouvelles technologies ne sont pas plus déshumanisants à mon avis, que beaucoup de situations réelles ou la relation n’est satisfaisante pour aucun des protagonistes. Je pense que la situation précédente découle de celle-ci.

First of all, Sandra has contacted the Institute to set up a meeting to discuss the public conversation and the C2D2 conference. We have a meeting set up and I think it will be interesting to share some of the fruits of that meeting once it happens tomorrow.

As part of this meeting, myself, Lance, Gerardo and Mike will be there. After that, we will all head up to the conversation on food that Gerardo is facilitating. Should be a joyful evening on the rooftop.

I was also wondering who else was involved in the reflection at the Learning Circle related to the C2D2 event. Can someone remind me who that was. I think it would be interesting for that person to join us as well, if they are interested.

(Is this the sort of medium where one can put forth such a question? Will anyone respond to the request?)

But I think for the case of this blog, having people blogging in both languages would have been exciting. Maybe there would have been people like myself that would have volunteered to translate? (or maybe not - I’m kinda lazy ;-)

I’m glad this is your blogging “baptism”. and don’t worry if people don’t come back. I’m sure that it will serve you well in the next couple of years. At least now you know what people are talking about when you see discussion of “blogging” in the newspaper.

Je n’ai pas vraiment d’experience sur la maniere appropriee de traiter les medias mais j’ai du feed-back sur la soiree de mercredi dernier, si ça t’interesse tu peux aller voir mon commentaire sur le message de Sandra. On s’en est deja parle, mais j’ai quelques idees par rapport aux limites a mettre aux medias. J’imagine que d’autres ont aussi des idees la-dessus.
